Itinerary
Day 01: Thimphu
Morning
- Arrive at Paro international airport and transfer with your guide and driver to Thimphu, the Capital of Bhutan
Afternoon
- Visit Buddha Point
- Check in the hotel and freshen up
- Lunch at the hotel
- Short hike to Wangditse and Takin preserve center
Evening
- Visit Tashichodzong the government house and office of his Majesty the king of Bhutan
- Dinner in Town
- Overnight in Thimphu
Day 02: Punakha
Morning
Hike to Tango Monastery, University of Bhuddhist studies, visit Folk Heritage Museum and enjoy traditional
Bhutanese food at the restaurant
Afternoon
- Visit Zorig-Chhosuem, School of Bhutanese traditional Arts.
- Visit Centenry Farmers market
Evening
- Stroll around craft baazar and and try out local Pubs and bars
- Dinner in Town
- Overnight in Thimphu
Day 03: Punakha
Morning
- Drive to Punakha over Dochula pass
- Visit chimmi-Lhakhang the fertility temple of the divine madman
- Lunch at the divine Cafe
Afternoon
- Visit Punakha dzong ( the old capital of Bhutan)
- Cross over the longest suspension bridge and stroll around the Mendhagang village
Evening
- Check in the hotel
- Quiet dinner at the hotel and relax
- Overnight in Punakha
Day 04: Punakha
Morning
- Drive to upper Punakha along the Phochu river to hike up to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Stupa- the universal peace stupa
Afternoon
- Depart for Paro from Punakha
- Stop over at Dochula pass and on a clear day one can see the great Himalayan ranges.
Evening
- Check in the hotel
- Explore Paro town on foot
Day 05: Paro
Morning
- Drive up to Chele la pass, the highest motor able point in Bhutan (3988mts.)
- Opt to hike further elevation of 500mts. to the Sky burial site or drive down to explore Haa valley
Afternoon
Drive to Paro dzong and walk down to Nymizampa the
cantilever bridge and if interested try national dress of
Bhutanese.
Evening
Visit the CSI Market (made and grown in Bhutan store)
Dinner at the Namgay Artisnal Brewery and try various local beer.
Day 06: Paro
Morning
- Hike to Paro Taktsang, Tiger Nest Monastery
- Lunch at the Tigernest view cafe.
Afternoon
- Visit Kichu Lhakhang the 7th century old temple
- Explore Paro town for last minute souvenir shopping
Evening
- Experience a traditional farm house dinner with a hotst one bath to relax
Day 07: Paro
Morning
- Depart Bhutan from Paro International Airport
- Farewell from your guide and driver
