Best Time to Visit Nepal

Spring (March–May): A favorite season for trekking and cultural exploration. Clear skies, warm temperatures and blooming rhododendron forests paint the hillsides in red and pink. Nepal Visa & Entry Requirements

Most international travellers need a visa to enter Nepal, which is conveniently available upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and at certain land borders. Tourists can also apply online in advance through the Department of Immigration’s official portal. Visa options are usually for 15, 30, or 90 days, and extensions are possible in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Passports must be valid for at least six months, and travellers should carry passport photos for their application. Trekking in restricted regions such as Upper Mustang or Manaslu requires special permits, which licensed trekking agencies can arrange.
